Ulster Yarns is a textile manufacturer operating from a 3,600 sq ft facility in Dewsbury. GME was commissioned to carry out a full redecoration project, including walls, floors, and structural cladding, to bring the space in line with modern operational and safety standards.
The project aimed to enhance the working environment for staff, improve the durability of surfaces under industrial use, and bring key areas into compliance with operational health and safety guidelines.

GME began with comprehensive preparation work, including degreasing and cleaning floor surfaces. To keep production running, we carefully scheduled works and created safe cordoned-off zones to work around live equipment and operations.
We utilised specialist coatings including non-slip floor paints and protective cladding, applying them efficiently across the factory floor and in harder-to-access areas using cherry pickers.
The factory was fully redecorated with robust, specialist finishes to withstand heavy-duty use. Works were completed safely and without interrupting operations, improving both functionality and staff morale.
