At GME Group, we’re passionate about supporting grassroots sports, especially when it helps young people grow in confidence, build friendships, and stay active. That’s why we proudly sponsor local junior football teams in both Stanningley and Barnsley, providing the resources they need to train, compete, and develop—not just as players, but as people.

In 2025, we had the privilege of funding full kits for 80 children across both clubs—a gesture that meant the world to the teams, coaches, and families involved. For many of these children, having a kit of their own gave them a renewed sense of pride, belonging, and excitement for the game they love. It wasn't just clothing—it was confidence.

"Without the support from GME, this simply wouldn’t have been possible," one coach shared. "These kids now step onto the pitch feeling like a team, looking smart and united. We’re beyond grateful for what this has done for them."

This donation removed a financial barrier that too often prevents young people from joining or staying in sport. Many families are already stretched, and being able to tell parents that kits were fully covered came as a huge relief.

For us at GME, it’s about much more than football. It’s about creating opportunity, lifting communities, and giving young people something positive to be part of. We’re incredibly proud to play a small role in their journeys and can’t wait to cheer them on from the sidelines as they grow, thrive, and celebrate every goal—on and off the pitch.
