Giving Ryhill church a new look

12th December 2019

Over the years, the GME team have developed a great deal of experience of working on heritage projects – older, more traditional buildings that require a lot of care and attention. This is why, when St. James’s Church in Ryhill was in need of refurbishment, we were the ideal candidates. Inspired by the enthusiasm and knowledge demonstrated by our team on previous projects, the church contacted us through our website, and we were only too happy to assist. First and foremost, it was of great importance that the church remained open and operational during the process, and to that end we took responsibility for sourcing a scaffolding company to allow us to work without disrupting the church. From our elevated position on the scaffold, we thoroughly cleaned all the church’s beams, before comprehensively repainting and redecorating the building’s interior. Once finished, we took down the scaffolding and admired our work – feel free to do so yourself!

We were delighted to have the opportunity to help reinvigorate such a proud old building, and all at the church were equally happy with the fruits of our labour:

“I write to express our sincere thanks for the wonderful works you carried out so professionally at St. James’s. Our beautiful Church now looks clean, smart and welcoming to all who enter. Once again our sincere thanks to you all.”Elspeth Horn, P.C.C. Secretary/Church Warden
